I used to weigh a lot. That’s how a lot of people who know me personally now identify me. Weight. But, I am a lot more than that. My weight is only one part of me, and it’s definitely not the most important or interesting.
I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Los Angeles, and my fiancé will attest that I have California girl stamped on me. From my slightly aggressive driving skills to my love for hiking, I am an Angeleno through and through. I’ve never owned an umbrella, and I grab a sweater when the weather dips below seventy degrees. Last summer, I spent two of the best months of my life in the jungles of Costa Rica. Okay, it was really in a nice loft in a small town in Costa Rica, but still. I am recently engaged. I live part-time at my local gym. I have driven across the country 3 times—seeing all the beauty the US has to offer. I went rafting and snowboarding for the first time last year. I can’t cook. I graduated from UCLA, and I spent over 8 years working in education.
And, I used to weight a lot. 299 pounds to be exact. I’ve lost over 160 pounds in the last 3 years. But, I am more than just a number on the scale. This website will follow my struggles and triumphs as I continue my weight loss endeavors. It is dedicated to my journey in finding not only the healthiest me but happiest me.
